Silvio Moggia
Silvio Moggia was born in Vernazza in 1946.
Vernazza is an enchanting village situated by the seaside, just in front of the Portofino bay.
In this stimulating and provocative setting, he began to paint very young, leaving behind the music which was his passion, too.
His painting is smooth and soft although he uses intense, bright and expressive colours.
During his studies Moggia was inspired by the Impressionism of Cézanne.
The landscape he paints is the departure to describe a world of emotions and strong feelings.
